Job Overview
Brown County is seeking an energetic individual to join our team as a Guide Supervisor at the Adventure Park located at the New Zoo in Suamico, WI. This position involves overseeing daily operations and maintenance of the Adventure Park, which includes an aerial challenge course, dual racing 1,000-foot zip-lines, a 32-foot-high climbing wall, a kids’ course, equipment rentals, and the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour.
The Guide Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that visitors receive a top-tier recreational and educational experience from start to finish. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and evolving adventure park industry.
- Ensure safe overall operations of the Adventure Park and facilitate programs.
- Perform point-of-sale operations in compliance with county cash handling policies.
- Supervise and guide Adventure Park staff and concession employees.
- Assist with inspection and maintenance of adventure courses and equipment.
- Facilitate group education programs that focus on experiential learning.
- Coordinate the daily operations of the equipment rental program.
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure for visitors, prioritizing safety at all times.
- Maintain positive, professional working relationships with co-workers and visitors.
- Assist in setting up and taking down course and equipment.
- Assist with admissions and concession services.
- Contribute to grounds maintenance as needed.
- Maintain necessary records as required by supervisor.
- Lead the equipment rental program operations.
- Assist in the daily operations of the canopy tour.
- Assist with inspections and documentation of ziplines, aerial challenge courses, kids’ course, climbing wall, and the aerial canopy tour.
- Develop and implement programming for both the Adventure Park and the aerial canopy tour.
- Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Comfortable with point-of-sale operations and cash handling.
- Able to remain active and engaged for 8+ hours per shift.
- Quick learner, able to apply advanced technical skills.
- Professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Experience in group program facilitation or a strong interest in learning group facilitation techniques.
- Ability to work the required hours of the position.
- Comfortable working in diverse outdoor conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to wear a full-body harness and work in an active environment.

HoursGuide Supervisor should expect to work many varied shifts as needed including nights, holidays and weekends. The Adventure Park is open daily 9am-6pm during the operating season.
