Quality Inspector
Job DescriptionAs a Quality Inspector, you will perform a variety of parts and product inspections to ensure they meet company and customer requirements. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming sub‑out parts, documenting inspection results, and creating reports for customers.
Responsibilities- Perform parts and product inspections to meet company and customer standards.
- Inspect incoming sub‑out parts.
- Document inspection results through written records or photos.
- Gather data and create reports for customers.
- Communicate quality discrepancies to shop supervisors.
- Maintain material certifications and inspection documentation.
- Maintain calibration control for all IMTE inventory.
- Perform inspections to ISO standards.
- Notify management of need for Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- Use basic measurement tools such as combination square, protractor, and caliper.
- Assist with the sub‑out process by requesting purchase orders, tagging, and documenting counts.
- Label nonconforming parts.
- Read blueprints to ensure fabricated products meet specifications.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Proficiency in quality control, assurance, and inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with precision measurement equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
- An associate degree in Quality Control Technology or 3+ years of proven inspection experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as an inspector in a close‑tolerance, custom metal manufacturing business.
- Experience in a metal forming, machining, or welding environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of metals and raw materials, production processes, quality control, and manufacturing costs is advantageous.
- General machining and welding knowledge is a plus.
The role involves working in a metal manufacturing environment, with a focus on maintaining safety procedures and using various precision measurement tools. The position requires adherence to ISO standards and may involve reading blueprints to ensure product specifications are met.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire, Green Bay, WI.
Pay and BenefitsPay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour.
