Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.

Follow best practices for bagging with various types of bags.

Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.

Offer help to customers in loading bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.

Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for locating products and conducting price checks.

Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.

Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.

Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.

Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts appropriately.

Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.

Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Customer Service skills
Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

Retail experience is preferred but not necessary
