Overview

The District Sales Manager for Bay Insulation Systems travels throughout the geographic area of Iowa & Northern/Central Illinois. This is a hunter profile role focused on identifying, converting, and retaining customers in a highly competitive market. The DSM will target post frame builders, commercial metal building contractors, insulation companies, and metal building manufacturers while representing both Bay Insulation Systems and EXPI DOOR Systems Inc.

Backed by four Bay plants (Minneapolis, Green Bay, Kansas City, St. Louis) and a strong inside sales engine, the DSM will leverage speed, freight advantages, and service consistency to win business. This is not a maintenance role — it is a take share, high velocity, competitive sales position.

Duties
  • Prepares and presents quotes.
  • Timely follow up on all sales leads.
  • Acquire and process customer orders.
  • Manages customer questions, complaints, and needs.
  • Promote Bay Insulation Systems and products throughout the district.
  • Develop prospective customers and build strong relationships.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of accounts.
  • Manages expense reports and territory travel plan on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Make in person sales calls to customers via office and job site visits.
  • Ability to travel overnight 50% of the time.
  • Ability to work remotely, and office from home.
  • No direct reports.
Requirements

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Outlook, One Drive, and Excel programs.
Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of sales experience required.
  • Metal Building construction knowledge and experience, preferred.
  • A college degree, preferred.
  • Must reside in Iowa.
  • As a condition of continued employment, employees working in a position requiring driving as an essential function of the job, are required to maintain a valid license, and an acceptable driving record as per our insurance provider’s requirements.
