The City of Green Bay's Police Department is seeking part‑time Community Service Officers to provide essential support by assisting staff with a variety of paraprofessional tasks. Responsibilities include directing traffic, preparing reports, security at City Hall, performing security checks at City buildings and parks, and responding to animal calls. Work is performed under the general supervision of the on‑duty supervisor or a Police Officer.
Successful candidates will possess conflict resolution skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to multi‑task.
Work ScheduleMinimum of 15 hours/week; maximum of 30 hours/week. Varied shifts between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish, Hmong, etc.) preferred.
- Must have acceptable personal and professional history as determined by successfully completing a background investigation.
A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and data entry.
- Ability to learn and apply city ordinances and city/department policies and procedures.
- Problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
