Hockberger Homes is seeking a motivated and dependable Framing Carpenter to join our growing custom home building and remodeling team. This position focuses on the structural framing of custom homes, additions, and residential remodeling projects in the Green Bay and surrounding areas. - Frame residential homes, additions, garages, and remodeling projects.
- Perform selective demolition of existing residential structures as part of remodeling and renovation projects while protecting areas that are to remain.
- Construct wall systems, floor systems, roof systems, and structural components according to project plans and specifications.
- Install floor joists, engineered floor systems, roof trusses, rafters, beams, and other structural framing components.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, layouts, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and other framing materials accurately.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic nailers, saws, and demolition equipment.
- Assist with job site layout, material handling, and project setup.
- Load, unload, and organize construction materials while maintaining an efficient workflow.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites throughout all phases of construction.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, lead carpenters, subcontractors, and other field personnel to keep projects on schedule.
- Assist in mentoring and supporting less experienced team members as needed.
- Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and proper construction practices.
- Two or more years of residential framing or rough carpentry experience preferred.
- Experience framing custom homes, additions, or residential remodeling projects.
- Knowledge of wall framing, roof framing, floor systems, and engineered trusses.
- Ability to read and understand residential construction blueprints.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic framing equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights, including ladders, roof systems, and scaffolding.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Able to stand, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of Wisconsin weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
$24 - $30 hourly
