Graymont is seeking an Industrial Electrician to support Graymont's Green Bay operation. Applicants will need experience with medium voltage, operating various test equipment, and troubleshooting in an industrial plant environment.

Location: United States - WI - Green Bay

Employment type: Permanent, Full-time

Wage: $37.00 to $39.00 per hour, based on skills and experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm

Hours: 40 hours per week, with possible overtime

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the primary responsibilities include:

  • Reading, understanding, troubleshooting, and performing electrical work from schematics
  • Performing substation maintenance, transformer connections, voltage tap changing, switch gear, relays, dash pots, demand meters, and gear cleaning
  • Inspecting failed equipment, diagnosing issues, and implementing safe repair procedures promptly
  • Working independently or in teams safely and flexibly on cross-functional teams
  • Performing stationary maintenance such as welding, fabricating, troubleshooting mechanical equipment, and changing bearings
  • Working some weekends and participating in outage callouts (approximately twice a year for two weeks)
  • Qualifications:

    • Journeyman electrician or equivalent experience
    • Experience with medium voltage, test equipment, and troubleshooting in an industrial environment
    • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, RSLogix, Factory Talk, and laptop troubleshooting; experience with Allen-Bradley PLC is a plus
    • Experience with DC motors, controls, VFDs, soft start drives, and voltages of 110V, 480V, and 4160V
    • Knowledge of zero speed switches, motion detectors, level controls, shunts, current transformers, and input devices for control
    • Understanding of electrical systems and adherence to the National Electrical Code for safe and efficient operation
