Wabtec – Now Hiring Service Technician – Direct Hire
Location: Green Bay, WI
Pay Rate: $34.00 – $38.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Service Technician Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or technical school certification required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, forklift repair, MHE service, conveyor maintenance, or automated equipment repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience reading schematics and using maintenance management software.
  • ASE, Electrical Journeyman, or related certifications preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., operate lift trucks safely, and provide personal mechanic hand tools.
Job Duties
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on MHE, conveyors, and automated systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using OEM software, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and schematics.
  • Complete equipment inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA, manufacturer, and facility safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inventory counts, and PM documentation.
  • Coordinate with Parts and Operations teams to ensure equipment readiness and minimize downtime.
  • Communicate equipment status, repair timelines, and service needs with customers, supervisors, and site leadership.
  • Achieve performance goals related to service response times, first-time fix rates, technician efficiency, and PM completion.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and support continuous improvement initiatives.
