Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems while performing preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment. This role sets up, adjusts, and supports production lines and equipment changeovers, fabricates and repairs parts using a variety of shop tools, and supports general building maintenance. The Maintenance Technician works in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting teammates through training and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems on production equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to keep production equipment running reliably and efficiently.
  • Set up, adjust, and support production lines, including equipment changeovers and line optimization.
  • Fabricate and repair parts using welders, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other shop tools as needed.
  • Diagnose equipment issues quickly and safely, ensuring repairs are completed correctly the first time.
  • Support building maintenance, including work on doors, docks, lighting, and related facility systems.
  • Maintain organized work spaces, accurate parts inventory, and equipment centerlines to support efficient maintenance operations.
  • Assist and train teammates and equipment operators on proper use, basic troubleshooting, and care of machinery.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards, including strict adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams to prioritize work and minimize downtime.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting industrial equipment in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and basic predictive maintenance tasks on production machinery.
  • Strong electrical skills, including basic understanding of industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting at the operator or maintenance level.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Clear and professional communication skills to collaborate with operators, peers, and leadership.
  • Commitment to following GMP and safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Willingness to work in an active, hands-on role around moving machinery and electrical systems.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical certificate or Associate's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience supporting production line setups, adjustments, and equipment changeovers.
  • Ability to use welders, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other fabrication and machining tools.
  • Experience maintaining parts inventory, work spaces, and equipment documentation in an organized manner.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment where priorities may shift.
  • Openness to learning new technologies and maintenance practices, with training provided for the right candidate.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties.
