Maintenance Technician III - 1st Shift

Pay Range:
Based on experience and skill level with rates up to $39.00 per hour

Sign on Bonus: $5,000

• Diagnose and troubleshootequipmentmalfunctionseffectively and efficiently.
• Conducttimelyrepairs and ensure equipment is returned to full operational capacity.
• Perform routine maintenance inspections on all production and service equipment whilemaintainingaccurateand up-to-date inspection records.
• Assist the Department Managerin planning and managing maintenance projects.
• Identify, research, andprocurenecessary spare parts to minimize equipment downtime.
• Schedule and document all maintenance activities, both corrective and preventative, within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Assistin developing andmaintainingdepartment procedures and standard work instructions.
• Respond promptly to weekend and emergency calls as per the established on-call policy.
• Support the onboarding and training of new employeesonequipment operation and standard work procedures as directed.
• Maintainaccurateproduction records and quality inspection reports, inspect parts and components for defects and compliancetoquality standards, and promptly report quality issues to the appropriate team members.
• Ability tomaintaina clean and organized workspace in high-traffic areas to minimize trips, fall, andcollisionhazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of team, departmental, and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Required:

• At least7years of hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician in an injection molding manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in repair and fabrication techniques, with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
• Ability to interpret job layouts,identify materials, and effectively select andutilizeappropriate toolsand resources
• Forklift experience;must be willing and able to obtain certification.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to work with a variety of tools and materials applicable to the position.

Preferred:

• Specialized trade knowledge through trade or vocational school.
• Associate degree in Electronics, Automation Programming, etc. or completion of a State Indentured Apprenticeship Program.
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with JDE or similar ERP software.

  Performs tasks requiring precise hand-eye coordination, including assembly, tool operation, and use of heavy machinery.
• Sensory Abilities:
  
  Ability to visuallyinspectmaterials and equipment;detects auditory warning signals in environments with ambient noise.

• PPE Compliance:
  
  Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection;additionalPPE such as face shields, goggles, aprons, or respirators may berequiredbased on position.
• Equipment Certification:
  
  Ability to obtain andmaintainrequired certifications for forklift, powered pallet jack, and hoist/crane operation; adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and hazardous material handling protocols where applicable.
• Environmental Awareness:
  
  Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and near moving mechanical parts; may be exposed to varying temperature conditions depending on season and facility.
