Vocational Specialist

At Aspiro, our Vocational Specialists provide individualized employment supports, build relationships with local employers, and empower people to reach their employment goals. This role combines community-based work with strong organizational and documentation skills to ensure high-quality services and compliance with funding requirements.
What You'll Do
- Complete timely, detailed, and accurate documentation for all services provided.
- Enter service notes and required documentation by established deadlines (typically by the end of the following business day).
- Provide individualized job coaching and employment supports in community settings.
- Assist individuals with job exploration, skill development, and maintaining competitive employment.
- Develop positive relationships with employers and community partners.
- Monitor progress toward employment goals and adjust supports as needed.
- Maintain accurate schedules and communicate effectively with team members and referral sources.
- Ensure documentation meets quality standards and funding source requirements.
- Utilize electronic documentation systems to record services and maintain consumer records.
Success in This Role
Successful Vocational Specialists understand that quality documentation is just as important as quality direct service. The ability to accurately capture services provided, meet documentation deadlines, and maintain compliance with funding requirements is an essential function of this position.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Detail-oriented and committed to completing documentation accurately and on time. Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working independently in the community.
- A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to use technology and electronic record systems efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
