Transportation Coordinator / Driver
The Transportation Coordinator/Driver is responsible for coordinating and scheduling all drivers to ensure transportation needs are met efficiently campus-wide. In addition, this role drives the medical van, small bus, and large bus to transport residents and tenants for appointments, pick up new admissions, provide discharge transport to patients' homes or assisted living facilities, and run lab specimens. The position also handles other regular route operations as assigned, ensuring safe, timely, and reliable transportation services for all campus residents.
Essential functions include:
- Driving vehicles over specified routes or to specified destinations according to time schedules in order to transport passengers.
- Inspecting vehicles, checking gas, oil and water levels prior to departure.
- Complying with all traffic and safety regulations as well as vehicle specific safety specifics to secure each passenger in the vehicle.
- Parking vehicles in areas and in a manner that a resident/tenant can board easily and safely.
- Assisting passengers in boarding and helping with any luggage or equipment.
- Advising passengers to be seated while on vehicles.
- Regulating heating, lighting and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
- Reporting any delays or accidents immediately.
- Notifying drivers of availability and schedule restrictions in a timely manner.
- Maintaining and updating the Transportation Calendar, ensuring all driving schedules, appointments, and route needs are accurately coordinated.
- Coordinating and scheduling drivers to ensure coverage of all routes, appointments and resolving scheduling conflicts as they arise.
- Supporting the mission, vision, and values of Woodside Senior Communities.
- Being knowledgeable of resident rights and ensuring an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all residents/tenants in a safe, secure environment.
- Observing care in ensuring the confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee, and operations data as required by HIPAA/HITECH regulations.
- Abiding by all applicable statutes and regulations through compliance with the Woodside Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program.
- Completing requirements for in-service training.

Education and experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License required, as well as an acceptable driving history
- One to two years related experience strongly preferred
