Position Summary
Amerhart is currently hiring for 2nd Shift Material Handlers in our Green Bay – Amerhart facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform all duties associated with shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. As a member of the Operations team, you should help others when the workload demands, treat teammates with respect and care, and perform work in a safe manner according to safety policies and procedures.
PayRate
Pay Rate of $21.25 per hour + $1.50 per hour shift differential pay = $22.75 per hour.
Training Schedule- First 2 months of training: 7:30 AM CST - finished.
- Months 2‑3 of training:
Noon – 8 PM CST. - Fully trained (after 3 months): 4 PM – Midnight CST (last truck loaded).
- Load outgoing trucks for the following day in an efficient manner.
- Focus on safety while ensuring the customer receives correct material in quality condition.
- Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.
- Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars and replenish product in the designated location in the warehouse.
- Report any problems such as shortages or damaged material.
- Inquire with the sales team member when orders cannot be shipped as ordered and make changes as directed by sales.
- Use handheld scanner when receiving product, picking orders, loading trucks and cycle counting in accordance with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Management System (WMS) Coordinator on questions and updates.
- Band, wrap and prepare material for safe shipping.
- Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight distribution practices.
- Follow safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.
- Fill orders for incoming customers.
- Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning warehouses and yard.
- Inspect the forklift prior to daily operation to avoid equipment problems and malfunctions in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Cross‑train and back‑up others in the warehouse.
- High School Diploma.
- 1–2 years of forklift driving experience required; some experience in a distributorship preferred.
- Neat and clean appearance.
- Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
- Strong initiative and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a cross‑functional team environment.
- Working knowledge and techniques associated with organizing and setting priorities.
