Job PurposeThe purpose of this position is to facilitate and maintain orderly and efficient flow of inventory for the entire Fabick campus to which the new hire is employed. This individual is responsible for the inflow and outflow of customer assets; as well as, Fabick assets across all divisions. This position will work to serve and satisfy the needs of multiple divisions for the greater good of the entire enterprise.
Job Responsibilities- Coordinate shipping of new, used, rental, demo, and serviced customer equipment.
- Initiate and complete INSPCT templates for loss mitigation.
- Receive new equipment and attachments; assign, print, and attach barcodes.
- Generate and send receiver for new and used machines to Sales Dept.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of equipment to showcase to customers.
- Conduct investigations to verify and resolve shipping and receiving errors.
- Comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
- Examine contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
- Take pictures of equipment; ensure all machines meet Fabick quality standards before leaving the yard.
- Take pictures of damage as needed; notify appropriate department head and send supporting documentation immediately.
- Conduct monthly physical inventory audits; make sure all equipment and attachments are barcoded and scanned.
- Reconcile inventory reports and locate missing items.
- Submit inventory reports and communicate disparities to department heads.
- Maintain an organized yard keeping it free from excessive debris and trash.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED; technical, vocational, or trade school education desired.
- 3+ years of experience in operating heavy machinery, shipping, receiving, and general yard duties.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to move equipment around the yard.
- Ability to manage time and multi-task with little to no supervision.
- Must have heavy equipment experience.
- Exhibit a high level of urgency and ownership.
In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write and hear, the essential functions of this job require the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The following may be expected: long periods of standing, periodic exposure to seasonal heat and cold, working with oils and greases, noise, shift work as needed – 1st and 2nd, working outside, stooping, bending, squatting, or working in a prone position.
