General Description
Prior to court, pull driving records and verify case details and information. While in court, record next court dates, prepare court documents and process jail memos. At the completion of court, prepare warrants, scan all court documents to cases and complete Notices to Appear.

- Pull Driving Records.
- Prepare Warrants.
- Attend Court Proceedings.
- Answer phone calls and assist the public.
- Remain compliant with policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Perform any additional duties that may be assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- A valid Florida Driver's License or Florida Identification is required for the hiring process.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted at the Clerk’s Office discretion.
Skills and Abilities
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with employees and the public.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as MS Word, MS Outlook, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, in accordance with a pre‑approved work schedule within the department.
- $16.74–$19.79 per hour depending on experience.
All employees of the Clerk's Office are required to have their fingerprints scanned as part of the hiring process so that a criminal background check can be performed. All employment shall remain probationary at least until the background is cleared. Because it is necessary for all Clerk’s Office employees to be bonded, any criminal background check results that reveal a finding of guilt by a court or jury, an admission of guilt or no contest in any criminal matter regardless of adjudication may result in termination even after probationary time is completed.

Employment with the Clerk's Office is a statutorily appointed position and serves at the will and pleasure of the elected Clerk of Court and Comptroller.
Final employment decisions rest with the Clay County Clerk of Court and Comptroller, in compliance with federal and state laws regarding non‑discrimination and preference.
