Construction Site Supervisor

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Construction & Field Oversight
  • Supervise daily residential construction activities
  • Ensure work is completed according to plans, schedules, and quality expectations
  • Coordinate schedules with subcontractors and skilled trades
  • Identify and resolve on‑site construction issues
  • Monitor timelines, workmanship, and safety compliance
• Volunteer Leadership & Safety
  • Lead, train, and supervise volunteers of varying skill levels
  • Assign appropriate tasks and provide hands‑on instruction
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce safety protocols
  • Create a productive, respectful, and welcoming volunteer environment
• Coordination & Communication
  • Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and material needs to management
  • Assist with scheduling inspections, deliveries, and subcontractor work
• Site & Materials Management
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
  • Assist with material organization, storage, and usage
  • Ensure proper care and use of tools and equipment

• Experience in residential construction or a related trade
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Comfort working with volunteers and diverse groups
• Knowledge of construction safety standards
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Preferred:
  Previous construction site supervision experience
• Preferred:
  Experience working in volunteer‑driven or nonprofit environments
• Must pass drug test

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
