JOB SUMMARYThe Painter/ Prepper will produce a quality product while achieving production goals. Ensures all parts and surfaces are prepped and painted. Sands parts and surfaces for paint application. Selects paint according to Company requirements, sprays surfaces with primer, paint and/or finish coatings. Preps body work and touch ups and lays out graphics and designs on painted surfaces. Trains others as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES- Selects correct equipment according to product/part specifications Prepares units and unpainted items: degrease, tape, sand and seal.
- Performs body work to assure a smooth surface and corrects imperfections before painting. Spray surfaces, parts and units with primer, paint and/or finish coatings.
- Touch up of flaws such as blisters or streaks on painted surfaces, parts and units. Mixes custom colors and sprays all types of paint.
