Job Summary:
As a Sod Crew Leader at United Land Services, you will be instrumental in leading and executing sod installation projects. This hands‑on leadership role requires the ability to read site plans or blueprints, operate machinery, and lead a crew with efficiency and precision. You'll ensure each job is completed on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

• Lead and manage a crew in the commercial installation of sod across various job sites.
• Interpret blueprints and site plans to determine layout and installation requirements.
• Oversee site preparation, including grading and soil preparation to ensure proper sod rooting.
• Operate and maintain machinery used in sod installation such as skid steers, sod cutters, and trucks.
• Monitor quality control throughout installation, ensuring sod is installed properly and uniformly.
• Coordinate with supervisors and project managers to meet job deadlines and client expectations.
• Ensure all crew members follow company safety protocols and proper installation procedures.
• Train new crew members on equipment operation, installation techniques, and safety.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs or job site issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of job progress, materials used, and time tracking.

• Experience leading a landscape or sod installation crew (commercial project experience preferred).
• Working knowledge of sod types, installation techniques, and site preparation standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction or landscaping blueprints.
• Skilled in operating heavy machinery and landscaping equipment.
