Facilities Technician

Sheriff's Office Building Maintenance Technician

Under direct supervision, responsible for Sheriff's office buildings and grounds. Incumbents must work under a Tech II at an apprentice level to gain skills in, but not limited to, HVAC, Plumbing, electrical, welding, carpentry, landscaping, automated controls and basic audio visual networks to build, maintain, repair, and construct within CCSO facilities to fulfill work requests. This position will be on standby for all 10-100's and may respond to incidents and emergencies, and serves as "Essential Personnel" during major storms and hurricanes.

This is an entry level position and training will be provided. Once all other qualifications are met and one year as a Tech I has passed Incumbents will be eligible for a transfer to Tech II.

Salary is negotiable for full-time positions prior to initial hire, if requested, based on verified experience up to step five (5) of the assigned pay grade. Current employee salary changes are determined based on internal methodology. Please contact Human Resources with any questions.
