Job Summary

Forklift Operator – Receiving & Put Away Job Summary - FIRT SHIFT AND SECOND SHIFT. The Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving incoming products, unloading trucks, inspecting and verifying shipments, and safely putting materials away in designated warehouse locations. This position requires strong forklift skills, attention to inventory accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Operate a forklift safely to unload incoming trucks and trailers.
• Receive and inspect incoming products for quantity, damage, and accuracy.
• Verify received materials against packing slips, purchase orders, or receiving documentation.
• Transport products from the receiving area to assigned warehouse locations.
• Perform put-away of pallets and materials into designated rack locations.
• Use RF scanners or warehouse inventory systems to confirm product locations and inventory movements.
• Properly stack, stage, and organize pallets and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory and location records.
• Assist with replenishment and movement of materials throughout the warehouse as needed.
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect products to warehouse supervision.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving and warehouse area.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and forklift operating requirements.

• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Previous receiving and put-away experience preferred.
• Experience working with palletized materials and warehouse racking systems.
• RF scanner experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately identify products, quantities, and warehouse locations.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely mount and dismount a forklift repeatedly.
• Comfortable working in an active warehouse and distribution environment.
