Finance Director

Converse County Aging Services is hiring an experienced Finance Director to lead nonprofit financial operations for programs serving older adults in Converse County.

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations.
• Prepare, monitor, and support organizational budgets.
• Create financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Monitor cash flow, revenues, and expenditures.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Support payroll and related financial processes.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and other financial professionals.
• Support the annual audit.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, efficiency, reporting, and accountability.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support organizational decision-making.

• Strong accounting and financial management skills.
• Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger activity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial staff and leadership.
• Strong computer and financial software skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Experience in nonprofit accounting, healthcare, human services, senior services, government, or community-based organizations is highly valued.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, with relevant professional experience; equivalent education and experience may be considered.

• Starting salary: $70,000 annually (consideration given to experience and qualifications).

• How many years of professional accounting or finance experience do you have? Please briefly describe the types of organizations and financial responsibilities you've handled.
• What hands-on experience do you have with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, general ledger, budgeting, and financial reporting?
• What experience do you have preparing budgets and financial reports for organizational leadership, management, or a Board of Directors?
• This position is based in Douglas, Wyoming. Are you currently located in the Douglas/Glenrock area, elsewhere in Wyoming, or outside Wyoming? If you are not currently local, are you willing to relocate to the Douglas/Converse County area for this position?
