Overview

IT Specialist (Microsoft 365 Admin & Networking) Role:
The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the credit union's Microsoft 365 environment and network infrastructure. This position assists with user account administration, system configurations, routine monitoring, and resolving technical issues related to software, hardware, and connectivity. The role also participates in IT projects such as system updates, migrations, and equipment deployments. This position helps ensure that systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage Microsoft 365 environment, including user accounts, licenses, security settings, and compliance.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches).
  • Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and resolve IT-related issues for end-users.
  • Assist in IT projects such as migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with formal training or two years of experience in Microsoft 365 Administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Azure).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified:
    Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+, or similar.
  • Experience with endpoint management and security tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and hybrid environments.
