Autonomous Test​/validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform on-machine testing, development, and validation of autonomy systems.
• Exercise machines in real-world operational conditions to confirm performance, safety & reliability.
• Identify, document, and retest issues (bug identification & validation after fix).
• Collaborate with software developers & cross-functional teams.
• Create/update test plans, review data logs, and maintain documentation.
• Conduct troubleshooting using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, wiring checks, etc.
• Physically climb large mining machines (2–3 stories) with backpack/laptop/equipment.

• Test Engineering / Systems Integration experience.
• Troubleshooting complex systems (mechanical/electrical/software interplay).
• Data analysis skills (reviewing logs, validating fixes).

• Strong communication & cross-team collaboration.
• Independent problem-solving.
• Comfortable in a hands-on, dynamic, safety-critical environment.

• Must have end-product testing experience: automotive, heavy machinery, autonomy, calibration/validation, emissions, or related.
• Autonomy validation experience is a plus but not required.
• Internships / senior design projects with hands-on systems testing are acceptable for junior candidates.
