Customer Engineer

As a Customer Engineer, you will support advanced semiconductor equipment directly at our customer's site, ensuring performance, reliability, and continuous operation. This role combines hands-on technical work with close customer interaction in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. You will work alongside international engineering teams and play a key role in maintaining production stability.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, start-up, and qualification of complex equipment with a high level of independence
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair system issues to ensure maximum uptime and performance
• Respond to production-related incidents and participate in escalation processes in collaboration with global engineering teams
• Execute preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and hardware retrofits
• Analyze equipment performance and implement improvements to increase availability and reduce operational costs
• Follow established procedures, checklists, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with current standards
• Support process-related topics and collaborate closely with customers and internal stakeholders
• Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and high-quality service delivery
• Identify potential risks or dissatisfaction early and initiate corrective actions

Requirements

• Degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience in field service, maintenance, or working with complex technical equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a high-responsibility, customer-facing role
• Structured and reliable working style, even under pressure or in dynamic environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical information clearly
• Team-oriented mindset with willingness to collaborate across international teams
