Autonomous Truck Integration And Validation Engineer
Payrate: $45.00- $46.00/hr the Company is seeking an Autonomous Truck Integration and Validation Engineer to support the testing, validation, and continuous improvement of autonomous haul truck systems. This role offers hands-on experience working with large machinery and advanced autonomy technologies, including autonomous systems, hardware and software. The successful candidate will contribute to test planning, on-machine validation, troubleshooting, data analysis, and collaboration with software development teams to ensure reliable system performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Create and update test and development plans for autonomous haul truck testing activities.
- Execute testing and validation activities on autonomous equipment in real-world operating environments.
- Conduct on-machine testing to verify system functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for system improvements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues affecting autonomous haul truck performance.
- Document testing results, findings, defects, and observations in a thorough and organized manner.
- Communicate technical issues and test outcomes to appropriate stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed test reports and provide recommendations based on testing results and operational experience.
- Collaborate with software development teams to align testing activities with technical requirements and system objectives.
- Support validation efforts to ensure autonomous systems meet operational and performance expectations.
- Interface with customers and end users to gather feedback and support continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related accredited technical discipline.
- In lieu of a degree, equivalent experience in the testing or development of control systems, vehicles, engines, autonomous technologies, or related systems will be considered.
Experience Requirements
- 2–4 years of relevant engineering, testing, validation, or autonomous systems experience.
- Internship experience may be considered toward overall experience requirements.
- Experience in vehicle testing, system validation, or working with heavy equipment and machinery is preferred.
- Experience supporting testing, development, or validation of control systems, vehicles, engines, or autonomous technologies is beneficial.
Required Skills
- Strong computer proficiency, including experience working in Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Experience troubleshooting issues in complex mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Working knowledge of Ubuntu or Linux operating systems.
- Test planning, execution, documentation, and reporting experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Understanding of autonomous systems concepts, including perception, planning, and positioning technologies.
- Data analysis skills with the ability to evaluate test results and identify performance improvements.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong documentation and technical reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with autonomous vehicles, heavy equipment, or large machinery.
- Familiarity with integration and validation activities for advanced technology systems.
- Experience collaborating with software development teams in testing and validation environments.
- Knowledge of autonomous system hardware and software interactions.
- Customer-facing experience related to testing, validation, or product development activities.

Pay Transparency:
