MAINTANANCE ASSISTANT - PART TIME - 2 DAYS A WEEK

Maintenance Assistant's core responsibilities, under the direction of the Maintenance Handyman, is to assist with:

• Repair and maintenance to school furniture and fittings, equipment, and other assets.
• Moving or relocating furniture, tools, equipment, stationery etc. as required.
• Other minor building and/or repair and maintenance projects as requested.
• Cleaning and maintenance of stormwater outlets as required.
• Gardening duties such as mowing, fertilising, planting, pruning, edging, reticulation maintenance, and weed control.
• Attend to any WHS/safety matters with regards to building and grounds maintenance and upkeep.
• Any other works associated with the operations of the College as directed.

• Ability to communicate and interact appropriately and effectively with students and staff.
• Working with Children Check must be obtained prior to commencement.
• Personal pride in work quality.
• Ability to respond quickly and to remain calm under pressure.
• A positive approach to tasks and situations.
• Ability to safely operate general gardening/ground maintenance tools and light power tools.
• Available Mondays and Tuesdays.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in maintenance or handyman work.
• Previous experience in a school environment is desirable.
