The Assistant Preconstruction manager will assist and help lead the preconstruction process for multiple projects from concept design through operations mobilization, with a primary focus on renovation work.

As an Assistant Preconstruction Manager, your primary responsibilities include:

• Complete constructability reviews in various stages of design
• Create comprehensive line-item budgets for all phases of design
• Complete take off for all trades
• Secure bid and budget subcontractor participation
• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure a complete bid
• Write comprehensive subcontractor scopes of work
• Level subcontractor bids
• Compile budget qualifications
  
  Assist in creating phasing and logistic plans
• Organize and manage the RFI and Value Engineering logs
• Develop a strong working relationship with owners and design teams to foster collaboration, project success, and long-term client partnerships. Interactions will include:
• Owner meeting attendance
• Completing meeting minutes
• Assist in the presentation of the budget and bid packages to clients
• Follow up based on open items from these interactions

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management/related field; or similar practice/training
• 5+ years of experience with a General Contractor in project management, preconstruction, estimating, or related roles
• Experience with renovation and/or multifamily projects is highly preferred
• A desire to take ownership of projects from schematic design through construction mobilization
• Detail-orientation with the ability to work independently, think creatively, and solve problems proactively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to professionally present information to clients and stakeholders
• A general understanding of building systems and how they interact to allow for ownership of trade coordination and comprehensive scoping
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), Bluebeam, Procore, and Primavera P6

$90,000 — $125,000 USD
