Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Superintendent to oversee two short-term renovation projects in the Norfolk, VA area. These projects are scheduled to start in early August and are expected to last approximately three months. The first project involves renovating a high school locker room, while the second entails minor upgrades to a metro station for the transit authority. There is potential for additional work as these are task order programs.

Responsibilities

* Manage subcontractors effectively to ensure project goals are met.

* Oversee the scheduling and budgeting to keep the project on track.

* Ensure site safety by adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

* Prepare daily reports to document progress and issues.

* Provide regular project updates to the owner.

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in construction and construction management.

* Experience in commercial construction, tenant improvement, and site safety management.

* Ability to manage subcontractors and oversee site construction.

* Strong skills in blueprint reading and scheduling.

* OSHA 30 certification.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience with construction safety and general contractor work.

* Superintendent and site supervision experience.

Work Environment

The superintendent will work independently at the project site with support from a project manager based in the office. This role requires remote site management, with a focus on ensuring effective communication and project oversight. The company is a small, growing minority business with significant growth potential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenbelt, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $53.00/hr.
