Summary:

Seeking a full‑time Service Now Developer to be an important part of our platform support and development team. There is a growing demand for enhanced capabilities in the platform, including the current applications CSM, ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, ITBM, GRC and Communities. The successful candidate will serve as a key technical resource regarding the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the Service Now implementation and have fluency in Service Now design and development principles that enables them to work with external development partners and key stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our customers that leverage ITIL processes and best practices.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Partner with leadership to develop and maintain a platform roadmap
  • Demo platform capabilities internally to shape what is possible/recommended
  • Interface and coordinate with internal customers to gather and translate business requirements into actionable development tasks
  • Reliably estimate relative work effort for various requests to enable prioritization of tasks
  • Ensure overall systems availability via good design, best practices and thorough testing
  • Serve as a Service Now application developer responsible for implementing best practices as they pertain to workflows, integration, configuration, customization, orchestration, access controls, etc.
  • Prepare and execute unit test cases and test scripts; support user acceptance testing
  • Work on Continuous Service Improvement by periodical technical and functional assessment of solutions and implementing enhancements as needed; provide technical documentation on all solutions implemented
  • Ensure implementation designs utilize Service Now best practices
Required Education And Experience
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience with the full SDLC responsibilities leveraging mature industry languages, with particular emphasis on JavaScript.
  • Developer experience independent of the Service Now platform.
  • Experience developing APIs via scripts including client and server APIs beyond just Glide record (i.e., Ajax, date/time, various utilities on developer portal, etc.).
  • Service Portal work leveraging Angular, mobile, integration hub, etc.
  • At least one of the following Service Now Certifications with a recent SN platform release and/or a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a primary Service Now Admin on a mature installation:
  • Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
Desired Education And Experience
  • Capability in configuration, scripting (client/server), integrations (REST, SOAP, etc.), data model/tables, forms, record‑producers, security/access (Glide), workflows, applications, events, email, homepages/reports, external data, Machine Learning, Orchestration, NOW Platform and custom Applications.
  • Certified Application Specialist (CAS) on a recent SN platform release and/or a minimum of one (1) year experience enhancing Performance Analytics.
Other Requirements
  • US Citizen or permanent residency, with ability to obtain a security clearance of Public Trust.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in parallel with an awareness for evolving prioritization.

Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 per year
