Apartment Maintenance Technician
Franklin Park at Greenbelt Station is one of the largest apartment communities in Prince George's County - 2,800+ homes, a professional on-site team, and a reputation for quality. We're hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician who's ready to hit the ground running and grow with us long-term.
This isn't a temp role or a stepping stone - it's a stable, full-time position with room to advance in a well-run, professionally managed community.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry in occupied apartments
- Respond to and complete resident service requests promptly and professionally
- Perform unit make-readies and turnovers between residents
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and property inspections
- Partner with a collaborative maintenance team on larger projects and priorities
- Participate in a rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule (compensated)
- As a condition of employment, you are required to download apps to your personal smartphone, enabling you to receive and complete work orders throughout your scheduled work shift. Location tracking will be in effect only during your scheduled shift when utilizing apps with location tracking.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3+ years of hands-on apartment or multifamily maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems (EPA 608 certification a plus, not required)
- Solid skills in plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and general repairs
- Ability to manage a service request workload independently and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills - you'll interact with residents daily
- Valid driver's license required
