Career Coach

* Contributes to career coaching/advising efforts at the University through this primary function of one-on-one advising of students and alumni.
* Develop and facilitate programs on such topics as networking, resume writing, interviewing, job search strategies.
* Assists with career and graduate school fairs.
* Coordinates at least one major program/project a year for the Hubbard Center.
* Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility for his/her actions.
* Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
* Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
* Conceptual Thinking - Ability to think in terms of abstract ideas.

* Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
** Education and Experience**: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2 years of equivalent experience is required.  A Master’s degree in any area including, but not limited to, higher education, student affairs, college student personnel, counseling, human resources, or a related field with a minimum of one year of providing direct student services in higher education is preferred.  Nationally recognized, DePauw provides a set of exceptional college experiences marked by intellectual rigor and shaped by a dynamic faculty.
