- Lead operational improvements through manufacturing engineering analysis focused on capacity, cost reduction, and safety
- Demonstrate cross-functional project management and contribute to strategic and capital plans
- Prepare project justifications, including recommendations, build-versus-buy analysis, layouts, cost impacts, and schedules
- Implement processes covering equipment procurement, installation coordination, process capability prove-out, training, documentation, and production start-up
- Manage product introduction activities including cost estimation, process investigation, schedule development, and prototype manufacture
- Develop reports, project briefings, and management presentations
- Provide technical direction and leadership
- Develop other Manufacturing Engineers and Process Technicians
- 8-15 years related experience
- Associate Degree
- Non-degree considered if 8+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
- Must have valid driving privileges
- Occasional travel and overnight stays
- Technical skills and training such as CNC programming, CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) may be required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead discussions, meetings, and projects and communicate across all levels of the organization
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage medium to large projects
- Ability to contribute to strategic initiatives
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support and mentor Process Technicians, Supervisors, and others
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require current or future work authorization sponsorship
Demonstrates expertise in manufacturing engineering with a focus on operational improvements, project management, and technical leadership. Proficient in CNC programming, CAD layout, and process capability theory to drive cost reduction and safety in manufacturing processes.
