Production Worker - Operator

Job Summary

The Production Operator works directly in the manufacturing area ensuring quality standards are met, painting, removing stone from molds and packing accurately and any other duty needed to support the production of product. Starting pay: $21.00.

• Comply with Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Apply color to molds with spray or brush according to quality standards.
• Apply acid spray to molds.
• Pull stones from molds and pack in boxes, ensuring the accurate amount of product is packed.
• Review quality standards of stones (e.g., air bubbles, color, deformations, etc.).
• Scrape excess cement from molds, pull cement up in corner molds.
• Ensure that all packaging, including labels, staples, box type, and assembly, are in accordance with proper standards.
• Clean molds to decrease overpour in the mold.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to keep a safe work environment.
• Respect scheduled rotation of breaks and lunches.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by department and area management.
• Train and be able to perform duties within any production lines and/or position when help is required.
• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Knowledge of all mold texture and stone color.
• Ability to apply OSHA safety standards related to the job.
• Proficient forklift driver with certification preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and numerical ability.
• Ability to communicate to proper personnel when changes or problems occur.
• Flexibility – able to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends.
• Ability to follow directions and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work as a team player.

• Prolonged standing or stationary position.
• Repetitive movements.
• Exposure to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, hardhat protection).
• Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds.
• Move or traverse about the facilities.
• Ascend/descend stairs or ladders.
• Work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.
