Job Description
College of Human Sciences & Education Office of Financial Services Business Manager. This position serves as a college-level business manager, responsible for the financial management of the college’s unrestricted and restricted accounts, and provides oversight on all accounts receivables and tuition/billing for the Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool.
Key Responsibilities- Finance/Account Management (40% of time): manage all financial functions for LSU Online, Summer Term, four Centers & Institutes, Professorships, Foundation accounts, and Residential College; reconcile state unrestricted accounts/budget, LAA+, ICs, and Call Me Mister programs; provide budgetary support to the Assistant Dean of Administration; assist with professional education, online programs, and grants/contracts for the college’s variable revenue streams.
- College Support Services (35%): serve as business manager for the Dean’s Administrative Support offices; primary procurement agent for the College, handling requisitions, purchase orders, and professional contracts; process spend authorizations and expense reports; update asset management reports.
- Pre-College Support (10%): manage the Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool as business and cost center manager.
- Scholarships (10%): collaborate with Development and Student Services to establish and manage scholarships; reconcile scholarship accounts; maintain scholarship database and ensure compliance with LSU Foundation and University policies.
- Other duties as assigned (5%).
- Bachelor’s degree with three years of related experience.
- Relevant experience in key job responsibilities may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Access to/directly handles cash/funds; financial history/credit check required per FASOP HR-04.
