* Expected Starting Pay Range $22.79 - $28.53
* Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on-call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families throughout their Emergency Department experience.
- Provide compassionate support, reassurance, and emotional comfort during times of stress, uncertainty, or crisis.
- Conduct proactive rounds in waiting areas and patient rooms to assess patient and family needs.
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for families while helping them understand the flow of the Emergency Department experience.
- Assist families with navigating hospital resources, visitor expectations, and support services.
- Partner closely with Emergency Department staff, Charge Nurses, Protective Services, Patient Services, and leadership teams.
- Foster positive relationships among patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Promote patient and family-centered care practices and advocate for the patient and family voice.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing patient and family experiences.
- Gather patient and family feedback in real time and identify common themes or opportunities for improvement.
- Document interactions, concerns, and engagement activities as appropriate.
- Assist in tracking and communicating patient experience trends that support quality and operational improvements.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve patient, family, and staff experiences within the Emergency Department.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
