Custodian/Groundskeeper Hose Tower
Village of Greendale is looking for a person to fill the part‑time position of Custodian/Groundskeeper for the Hose Tower. The position is responsible for cleaning and restocking the Hose Tower between rentals on weekends. Multiple employees fill this position; availability is not required for every weekend. The selected candidate will work with the Department of Public Works to schedule availability. Candidates will be compensated $50 per cleaning visit (each visit approximately 1 hour).
Hours are flexible. There must be a minimum of two hours between rentals. If the gap between rentals is only the minimum two hours, you will need to visit the Hose Tower during that window. If there is a longer gap between rentals (e.g., one rental on Saturday and the next on Sunday), you may schedule your visit at any time between those rentals that works best for your schedule.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize the facility between rentals.
- Collect and dispose of waste materials and recyclables.
- Setting up and breaking down tables and moving chairs.
- Stocking supplies after each rental.
- Sidewalk snow removal and salting.
- Documenting any damages of the facility done by renters.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High school graduation or equivalency.
- Minimum of 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Knowledge of cleaning materials, problems and procedures.
- Availability on weekends.
- Average mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to maintain good communications and relations with staff and public who utilize the buildings.
- Ability to climb, twist and turn, bend and stoop with equipment and supplies in hand as needed.
- Ability to read and follow directions and schedules.
- Experience in maintenance and cleaning.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
