- Compliance:
Sustain understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; support leadership; monitor policies; ensure certifications and Safety College requirements are completed on time; collaborate with managers, nurse council, and magnet representatives. - Clinical judgment:
Collect clinical data, follow algorithms, decision trees, and protocols; match knowledge with events for decisions; document care and outcomes; anticipate future needs; integrate age‑specific concepts; facilitate learning through structured education and teach‑back. - Clinical inquiry & performance review:
Follow standards, implement research‑based practices; recognize learning needs; identify patient deterioration; use performance reviews and peer reviews for competence and professional development; coach and mentor. - Collaboration & shared governance:
Receptive contributions, mandatory team meetings, participation in unit‑based councils, reading minutes, giving feedback. - Interprofessional practice:
Integrate the Interprofessional Practice Model; advocate, moral agency, and inclusion; assess cultural inclusion and incorporate into care.
- Associate/Diploma RN prepared at an ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA accredited institution; 2+ years of experience.
- BSN or MSN from an accredited institution preferred.
- Active Ohio RN License; may be required to obtain other state licensure.
- Foreign graduates: license validated through Tru Merit per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates.
- If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in a program within 1 year and complete it within 5 years.
