Position Title:
Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator
Location:
Milwaukee, WI
Wage: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours:
6:00am - 4:30pm (Monday - Thursday)
- Drive company vehicles to transport and deliver product to designated locations in compliance with all Wisconsin laws.
- Ensure the accuracy of shipments to the customer.
- Review daily shipment schedule and, in discussion with other production managers and team leaders, plan and prioritize daily work schedule to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Alert team members of any special customer delivery requirements.
- Accurately pull product from carousel/Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and stage it for delivery.
- Create and distribute Short List for future deliveries.
- Follow up with production managers and team leads on parts needed for delivery.
- Ensure finished goods are labeled and bagged properly.
- Work closely with customer’s receiving personnel to ensure satisfactory on all deliveries.
- Deliver products to customer and conduct inventory at their facilities to establish future delivery.
- Create and release VMI work orders based off of customer forecasts, purchase orders, and past usage.
- Maintain awareness of Min/Max levels and reorder point quantities.
- Recommend changes to the customer inventory levels based on usage.
- Perform weekly cycle counts of finished good parts.
- Solicit opinions of co-workers on effectiveness of the warehouse department operation and implement viable recommendations.
- Assist with customer returns.
- Pick up urgent or expedited materials from vendors.
- Purchase supplies for production/maintenance (Home Depot, Office Max, etc.).
- Manage maintenance on company vehicles.
- Drop off scrap wire/cable.
- Return empty job bins to kitting/receiving department.
- Conduct daily safety check of forklift trucks and maintenance needs of the finished good carousel and VLM.
- Share in minor repair work and housekeeping responsibilities of facility.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.
- Ability to ensure the accuracy of shipments.
- Ability to plan and prioritize daily work schedules.
- Ability to pull and stage product from carousel/Vertical Lift Module (VLM).
- Ability to create and release VMI work orders.
- Ability to maintain awareness of Min/Max levels and reorder point quantities.
- Ability to perform weekly cycle counts.
