Local Cdl A Truck Driver

We are hiring a Local CDL‑A Truck Driver. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, and you will work from a single yard in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will stay in one location for your entire shift, maneuvering trailers within the yard in a safe and controlled environment.

• Pay Range:
• $25.00 per hour PLUS $1 shift differential
• Opportunities for overtime after 40 hours

• Operate a Class A tractor‑trailer for local pickup and delivery routes.
• Transport goods to various customer locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle and trailers, reporting any issues.
• Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of all items.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and delivery documentation, utilizing ELDs as required.
• Utilize GPS and other navigation tools to optimize routes and manage time effectively.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff regarding delivery status or any operational concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions.
• Participate in occasional warehouse duties or team coordination meetings as required.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum of one year of verifiable CDL‑A driving experience.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
• Experience with local or regional P&D (Pickup and Delivery) operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US area and surrounding delivery routes.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements.
• Ability to operate various types of trailers and perform basic cargo securement.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Physical ability to handle required lifting and material movement.
• Proficiency with navigation tools and handheld devices.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
