Job DescriptionTeacher / Special Education
The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing instruction to special needs students and maintaining required paperwork at federal, state, and local levels. The applicant should demonstrate strong communication skills and a desire to be a collaborative teammate with others in the school.
This Full Time position DOES include benefits.
Applicants must have a current valid educator license with appropriate endorsement(s) to serve all special needs populations, modified and comprehensive. Additional endorsements in English, Math (Alg. I), or Science preferred. Endorsement 461 preferred. CPR/First Aid certifications are required. Must have strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must have satisfactory background/fingerprint checks as required by the Tennessee State Department of Education and state law.
Must meet health and physical requirements.
Certified / Salary
Position Type: Full Time (7.5 Hour Day/37.5 Hour Week)
Salary: $50,950 to $81,912
