The Teacher/Career & Technical Education is responsible for teaching TN State Standards and leading high school students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, psychological growth, and maturation. This full time position DOES include benefits.
Applicants must have a current valid educator license with appropriate endorsement. Must have strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must have satisfactory background/fingerprint checks as required by the Tennessee State Department of Education and state law. Must meet health and physical requirements.

Culinary Arts
The Culinary Arts teacher should have extensive practical culinary experience to teach introductory and advanced courses in culinary arts. Instructional topics may include, but not limited to: kitchen safety and sanitation, knife cuts and skills, cooking methods and techniques, and meat fabrication.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma, degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- a. Three (3) years of relevant work experience, completed within the last five (5) years; or
- b. Five (5) years of relevant work experience, completed within the last ten (10) years; or
- c. One (1) year of relevant work experience, completed within the last ten (10) years and an Associate degree in Culinary Arts; or
- d. Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts
Example Qualifying
Experience:
Caterer, executive chef, head chef, pastry chef, personal chef, restaurant manager, postsecondary technical school instructor in endorsement area. Priorities are student success through ongoing feedback aligning with the industry's professional and performance standards includes modeling community service involvement.
