Controls / Electrical Engineer – Direct Hire (Greeneville, TN)

$125,000 – $135,000 annually (DOE)

An exciting Direct Hire opportunity is available in Greeneville, TN for an experienced Controls/Electrical Engineer with a well-established manufacturing company. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on automation, process efficiency, and equipment reliability in a dynamic production environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design, programming, and implementation of electrical and control systems for production equipment and automation projects.
  • Specify, design, and manage capital improvement projects that enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide technical support for equipment repair, modification, and upgrades across facility operations.
  • Design and maintain PLC/HMI systems (Allen‑Bradley Rockwell Control Logix) and related automation controls.
  • Develop and create mechanical and electrical drawings using AutoCAD or Solid Works.
  • Integrate sensors, communication networks, and motion control systems into automated processes.
  • Ensure systems meet production standards and safety/compliance requirements.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4–6 years of experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell PLCs and RSLogix 5000 programming.
  • Experience designing and commissioning large DC motor drive systems
    , servo drives, and computer network wiring.
  • Solid understanding of automation theory
    , process control
    , and electrical circuits
    .
  • BSEE (Electrical Engineering) preferred.
  • Familiarity with Solid Works or other software design tools a plus.
