Position: QUALITY ENGINEER

Overview

1st Shift Quality Engineer position located in Greeneville, TN. Salary $65,000 - $70,000 per year. Shift: 1st shift (8 AM - 4 PM).

Responsibilities
  • Process Control & Optimization: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans (PCP) and inspection SOPs.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into non-conforming materials (MRB) using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams to prevent recurrence.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Maintain the company’s QMS in alignment with ISO 9001 (or AS9100/IATF 16949 if applicable). Conduct internal process and product audits.
  • Measurement & Calibration: Manage the calibration program for all precision tools (micrometers, calipers, CMMs, etc.) to ensure measurement system analysis integrity.
  • Supplier Quality: Partner with procurement to evaluate supplier performance and conduct off-site audits to ensure raw material integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce scrap rates and improve manufacturing throughput.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred).
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficiency with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100).
  • Experience with FMEA, PPAP, and APQP frameworks.
  • Quality-first attitude with communication skills to influence others.
