Job Duties / Responsibilities Essential Functions- 40% Analyze repetitive equipment failures, identify root causes, make recommendations, implement correct actions and develop long‑term equipment reliability programs.
- 25% Estimate maintenance costs and evaluate effective alternatives.
- 10% Assist in the selection and maintenance of software to drive and manage the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) processes. Develop and maintain CMMS system for the facility.
- 10% Forecast spare parts requirements. Work with Tool Room to correlate min/max on parts by developing a critical equipment list in MP2, providing feedback from EM, PM and CM parts usage, and developing a history on equipment and parts usage.
- 10% Assess the need, timing and cost for equipment upgrades, rebuilds and replacements and make recommendations.
- 5% Coordinate with other engineering resources, operations, maintenance personnel and outside contractors to schedule and manage projects.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor to plan, schedule and supervise services internally for the Maintenance, Machine Shop and Engineering departments, and procure outside contractors/vendors to maintain facility auxiliary systems (HVAC, Boilers, Propane/CNG systems, CO₂ & Halon systems, emergency generators and the Fire Protection system).
- Help maintain the work order system and participate in safety, environmental and ISO audits.
- Perform administrative activities necessary, including the selection and development of employee safety programs, counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the plant. Promote lean, quality and team concepts.
- Knowledge: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology or related field.
- Experience: 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing, maintenance environment in an engineering or maintenance support role. A combination of education and applicable experience may be considered.
