Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grinder/Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Grinder/Machine Operator will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality components through precise machining and fabrication processes, utilizing hand tools, tooling, and measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Shift: 2nd shift – 4:30 pm to 2:00 am. Monday–Thursday with occasional OT/Saturdays. Pay: $15.50 per hour
• Paid weekly.
- Perform grinding operations using various grinding tools to achieve specified dimensions and surface finishes.
- Utilize hand tools, tooling, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery.
- Perform fabrication tasks including sheet metal work and assembly as required.
- Follow safety protocols related to machining operations and fabrication processes.
- Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and perform basic repairs or adjustments to maintain optimal operation.
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, fabrication, tooling setup, and machining techniques.
- Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or machining roles is highly desirable.
