MES Technician TN

Description INTRODUCTION:
This position reports to the MES Technician Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

• Support the MES Systems Manager with appropriate projects as required.
• Revise any training or error logs that pertain to IGear.
• Train employees on the IGear system and document this training as instructed.
• Restock any IGear supplies for production reporting including but not limited to: aluminum tags, metal wire, labels, green poly, and ribbon.
• Troubleshoot any IGear issues that arise.
• Train all new users and ensure they have their login information for first‑time use.
• Report any incorrectly reported production from IGear to the supervisor of that department and the IGear Administrator.
• Maintain IGear work centers by cleaning/preserving all equipment.
• Assist employees to complete Failed IGear Forms as necessary to report production when IGear could not.
• Perform any additional duties that have not been specifically stated but may be assigned and are inherently part of this position.

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate required. Coursework in Information Technologies or related field preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• Skilled with computers, printers, and other technology.
• Able to follow direction and exhibit initiative in completing assigned tasks.
• Knowledge of company products or the ability to learn them to aid in correct production reporting.
• Demonstrate problem‑solving ability, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand, break down into steps, and communicate a process.
• Comply with quality, environmental, safety and Jost company policies and procedures.

• Work is generally performed in a production plant: 60% of time, 30% in an office & 10% in a warehouse setting.
• While performing duties, the employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, lift, or move objects of 51 pounds or less with or without assistance.
