Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift contract position requiring a current TN or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in a medical-surgical unit within a hospital setting
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:30 to 07:00
- Floating to other units is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- General orientation begins on Sundays, including online competency-based learning modules
- Contract nurses are expected to participate in nursing student clinical education in addition to patient care
- Team members may have shifts flexed or canceled biweekly due to hospital census changes
- Nonbillable orientation totals 16 hours
- Local candidates within the 100-mile radius are not eligible for this position
- Active TN or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- AHA BLS certification required
- Permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the hospital’s service area
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing strongly preferred
