Job Summary
The Summers-Taylor Transloading Technician transfers bulk materials, including salt and concrete products, between railcars, tractor trailers, and storage facilities to keep customer shipments moving on schedule. While this role includes basic warehouse work, you will also work on production line packaging, material handling equipment operation, computer and terminal systems, and close coordination with logistics and delivery schedules. This team member packages and seals inventory, loads and unloads railcars and trailers, and safely lifts heavy materials by hand, utility dolly, or forklift, stocking product properly in assigned areas.
Punctuality is essential, as trucks and trains run on a precise schedule.
- Transload bulk materials, including salt and concrete products, between railcars, tractor trailers, and storage areas.
- Work on the production line to package, seal, and stage inventory for shipment.
- Operate material handlers, forklifts, and other equipment to load and unload railcars, trailers, and dump trucks.
- Coordinate closely with dispatch and coordinators to plan and execute daily orders and shipment schedules.
- Maintain accurate logs for all trucks and railcars weighed in and out.
- Keep inventory and work areas neat, organized, and safety-compliant.
- Operate computer systems and material terminals to track inventory and process transactions
- Perform manual lifting of up to fifty pounds for most of the shift.

Job Requirements- Previous experience in the material handling field in a warehouse required.
- Must be willing to commute to other facilities within the Tri-Cities when asked.
- Must display strong communication and technology skills and work ethic.
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must comply with pre-employment background checks, physical, and drug screens.
- Must comply with I-9 and E-Verify.
