Job Specific Core Competencies

  • Process in-house bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely.
  • Prepare annual and quarterly payroll tax filings.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Maintain all payroll records.
  • File federal and state tax payments.
  • Maintain timekeeping software and understand pay practices and policies.
  • Prepare W‑2 reporting at year‑end and electronically file to state and federal agencies.
  • Assist in various accounting matters as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • High‑school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Minimum two years of in‑house payroll experience.
  • Knowledge of FLSA.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting functions.
  • Mandatory annual education.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of timekeeping software specifically UKG.
  • Skill in attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both written and oral.
  • Ability to analyze, detect, and solve payroll system problems using above‑average analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.
