Project Engineer

Project Engineer ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

• Communications – be available and responsive off shift/nights/weekends as needed.
• Jobsite layout including survey functions.
• Prepare and provide organized and complete project documentation to superintendents, foremen and PMs for assigned projects.
• Preparation of submittals.
• Work closely and effectively with our customers, crews, office, shop, and accounting.
• Utility locates and updates.
• Material procurement, including obtaining quotes, purchase orders, and order coordination.
• Attend progress meetings/record meeting minutes.
• Change order management and preparation.
• Scheduling, schedule preparation and updates.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and weekly reports as required.
• Document control – both physical and electronic.
• Cost tracking and project invoicing, preparation of T&M billings and claims.
• Utilize Foundation Accounting Software for job cost, payroll, and T&M billing proficiently.
• CAD and other technical drawings as required.
• Coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
• QC understanding of plans and specifications to ensure work is in compliance.
• Maintain record set of contract documents on the jobsite as required.
• Maintain current inventory of equipment and material onsite.

• BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Excellent computer skills and extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Project.
• Effective analytical, communicating, writing and organizational skills.
• Be a proactive, organized, self-starter and able to manage workload and priorities.
